Laser cutting in OO9 pt2

As I keep finding the odd few minutes to mess around with this in between my Product Design final project, I've been able to get more done on this little project today. I've added a thin card layer (yellow) as well as colour coding the layers for engraving and cutting etc. Current thinking is maybe a small birdcage on the right hand side whilst I've left the part between the door and rail engraved so it would be easy to separate them to leave the door open. I'll probably do an internal core that is slot and tab construction which the outer sides laminate to so the model will have 1.0mm thick ends and 1.5mm thick sides; I imagine this is enough to prevent warping. It might even work better in etched brass, which would make the internal part redundant.

I don't know if this is the kind of thing anyone else would be interested in- as I mentioned before it'll fit onto the Dundas freelance coach chassis which is currently £5.25. I think I might need to do a little jig for the handle on the door, which won't be too hard. Then it is just the core and the birdcage left to do.
